Since the launch of The Loeries Official Rankings in 2010, AFDA alumni have consistently made their mark in the commercial industry, and the 2024 rankings are no exception.
In the film director category, AFDA graduate Zee Ntuli secured the top spot, with fellow alumni Karien Cherry, Dean Blumberg, and Jozua Malherbe ranking seventh, tenth, and eleventh, respectively.
The cinematography category saw AFDA alumnus Adam Bentel maintain his number one ranking for the third consecutive year, while Rory O’Grady claimed third place.
In the editing category, AFDA’s Charmaine Greyling earned the fifth spot, while Anastasia Tsobanopulos achieved the highest ranking in the producing category.
Recognized as a trusted industry benchmark, The Loeries Rankings highlight the exceptional work of agencies, brands, and creative professionals across various disciplines. The rankings are based on the cumulative scores of awarded entries from the 2024 Loerie Awards, celebrating the groundbreaking contributions that drive innovation in marketing, advertising, and communication.
“The Loeries Rankings are the definitive guide to the individuals and companies creating brand value across Africa and the Middle East,” says Loeries CEO, Preetesh Sewraj. “They reflect a year of research and offer valuable insights for the brand communications industry.”
Serving as a testament to the industry’s talent and creativity, The Loeries Official Rankings continue to honor the visionaries shaping the future of brand communication.
