The Tourism Business Council’s Tourism Campaign for South Africa, starring comedian Trevor Noah has been officially released on various social media platforms worldwide. The commercial, directed by young, talented and gifted AFDA alumnus Lindo Langa has been celebrated by South Africans all over the globe since its release as part of a global campaign to attract more tourists to the country.
The commercial was executively produced by Seriti Films, co-founded by AFDA alumna Leanne Kumalo, who partnered with Mpho Twalo and agency partner FastGro Investment Holdings. Nina Hastie was the Creative Director and wrote the TVC in collaboration with Trevor Noah.

After graduating cum laude from AFDA Durban Lindo worked as second unit director on Africa’s first-ever Netflix original “Queen Sono” at the age of 23. He went on to direct emotive and innovative commercials for Johnnie Walker global, Samsung, Lay’s, African Bank, Ford and many more with his current production house Seriti Films.
He has directed music videos for Sho Madjozi, Anatii, AKA, Ami Faku, and Black Coffee Live in Sterkfontein Caves, among others.
At only 26 years of age, Lindo is always looking to refine his craft on more commercials, series, music videos and ultimately transitioning to features. With a deep passion for cinema, he has a knack for visual storytelling and hopes to imbue all his future projects with an air of childlike wonder that will make you believe in magic again.
