We are thrilled to announce that Keamogetswe “Keamo” Koenaite, the Class of 2023 Student Body President and Valedictorian, has been selected for the prestigious Jakes Gerwel Foundation’s Kommadagga Workshop and Residency!
In partnership with Huisgenoot and LitNet, this incredible opportunity offers mentorship to promising emerging short story writers, and Keamo will be honing his craft under the expert guidance of Fourie Botha – poet, seasoned publisher, and literary agent.
Throughout the residency, Keamo will be developing stories for Huisgenoot’s family market, gaining valuable exposure through LitNet and increasing visibility for his work, with exciting prospects for future publications!
This year’s mentor is none other than Siphiwe Gloria Ndlovu, the acclaimed Zimbabwean novelist and filmmaker, whose guidance promises to be a transformative experience for Keamo and all involved.
