Tristan is an award-winning South African writer, director, and photographer, renowned for his dynamic and emotive storytelling that explores the human condition. An alumnus of AFDA Johannesburg, his student film Elalini earned a prestigious Student Academy Award, establishing his early prominence in the film industry.
Tristan’s feature film debut, The Fragile King, received critical acclaim, securing multiple awards at the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs), including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.
In 2025, Tristan co-wrote and directed the Netflix young-adult drama series GO!, which premiered globally on March 21.
Tristan’s diverse portfolio includes collaborations with global brands such as Netflix, Google, and Coca-Cola, spanning commercials, music videos, and short films. He is currently developing new projects, including the hospital thriller series Clinical and the East Africa-set feature film This Will Finish Us.
