AFDA alumna and acclaimed South African singer-songwriter Shekhinah has officially released her highly anticipated new project, Love on Repeat Volume 1, a four-track EP that further cements her place as one of the country’s most distinctive and emotionally resonant artists.
The project features the previously released single “Say You Love Me”, a collaboration with rising vocalist Brandon Dhludhlu, which first teased the direction of the EP earlier this year. The forthcoming focus track, “My Baby”, sees Shekhinah once again teaming up with Brandon Dhludhlu alongside producer and artist Fatso 98, delivering an infectious and genre-blending anthem that captures the vibrant energy of the project.
Love on Repeat Volume 1 was shaped by a collective of celebrated producers including Fatso 98, Master A Flat, 2KayMusiq and MotiveSoul. Together, the collaborators crafted a dynamic sonic landscape that moves effortlessly between soulful melodies, rhythmic electronic textures and contemporary African influences.
A graduate of AFDA, Shekhinah continues to make an impact across the South African music industry with her bold creative vision and evolving artistry. From chart-topping hits to critically acclaimed projects, she remains one of the country’s most influential contemporary artists.
Adding to the excitement surrounding the EP release, Shekhinah is also set to perform the new material live as part of the 2026 ROSEFEST lineup at Casalinga on 9 August 2026. The event will celebrate powerhouse female talent, with Shekhinah leading the charge alongside a lineup of some of South Africa’s most exciting women in music.
