Londiwe Shange is a multidisciplinary writer, filmmaker, and award-winning actress whose work bridges screenwriting, production, and socially conscious storytelling. A distinction graduate from AFDA, Londiwe is passionate about amplifying African narratives through film and mentorship.
She is the founder and director of Sinairo Creatives, a Durban-based production company behind the multi-award-winning short film Ngikhona, now being developed into a feature. Her directorial debut Why It Came was screened at the Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center’s Annual S.E. Manly African American Short Film Showcase, and her film Pain to Ashes aired on the Discovery Channel Network.
As an actress, Londiwe has earned multiple accolades, including Best Lead Actress at the African Emerging Filmmaker Awards for Ngikhona, a nomination at the 2023 Simon Sabela Awards, and the 2024 Best Actress Award in the 48-hour film competition—competing against talent from 167 films.
Off screen, Londiwe is a committed activist for performers’ rights and serves as Vice Secretary for KwaZulu-Natal on the Executive Committee of the South African Guild of Actors.
