AFDA is proud to announce that four AFDA Live Performance alumni have been nominated for the Royalty Soapie Awards.
In the Outstanding Supporting Actor category Ayanda Makayi is nominated for his role as Stokkie in Gqeberha – The Empire alongside fellow alumnus Linda Nxumalo for his role as Sokalezwe in House of Zwide.
Galaletsang Gina Koffman is nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category for her role as Beauty Diphoko in The River and Motlatsi Mafatshe is nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actor category for his role as Molefe in House of Zwide.
The seventh Royalty Soapie Awards Ceremony will be held on 24 August at Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria and will be hosted by AFDA alumnus Eric Masheru.
The Royalty Soapie Awards were founded by former Generations and current House of Zwide actress Winnie Ntshaba.
The RSA’s are the only industry awards dedicated solely to South African daily TV dramas. They’re a celebration of the nation’s “TV drama royalty,” acknowledging the vital role storytelling plays in our lives.
The nominees represent the heart and soul of South African television – the actors, creatives, and technical teams who bring captivating stories to life on a daily basis.
