Enrolment

What is Enrolment?

Enrolment is the final step to complete before beginning your studies for the year at AFDA. Every student, both new and returning, need to go through enrolment to ensure the documents submitted and the enrolment agreement signed is valid for the year ahead in which you will be studying at AFDA.

For both new and returning students, enrolment starts on Monday 13 January 2025.

  • If you are a new AFDA student (i.e. you have not studied at any of the AFDA campuses before), enrolment will take place on campus.  Please visit your nearest campus, with your parent or fee payer, to complete the enrolment process.  Please see below for some useful information on the AFDA enrolment process.
  • All returning students (2nd year, 3rd year, Postgraduate students or students who have enrolled and studied with AFDA previously), can enrol online via https://enrol.afda.co.za/.

The AFDA Enrolment Process

All students who are enroling for any of the AFDA Higher Certificate programmes, or first year students* in the AFDA Degree programmes need to complete the enrolment process by coming to campus to complete enrolment.

*Please note: First year students entering degree level studies by having successfully completed an AFDA Higher Certificate programme are not considered ‘new’ students, and can therefore enrol online.

The enrolment process has four steps and the AFDA Enrolment Team will be available on campus throughout enrolment to assist you with completing every step of the  process.  For an overview of the Enrolment steps, you can view and download it here or click the ‘Enrolment Process’ button below.

To start the enrolment process, you will need to come to campus and provide the AFDA Enrolment Team with some documents:

          • AFDA Acceptance letter
          • Certified copy of your ID
          • Certified copy of your latest academic results**
**If you haven’t received your matric results / certificate, you may use your Grade 11 Report / Latest Transcript that you applied with to continue with the enrolment process. You will be able to present a certified copy of your matric certificate once you have received it.

The enrolment team will also assist you to complete and sign the AFDA Enrolment Agreement.  You can start completing some of the details of the Enrolment Agreement at home before you arrive on campus, as this will speed up your enrolment process.  To view and download the Enrolment Agreement, please click on the “Enrolment Agreement” download button below.
