Cleola graduated from AFDA with a BA Honours in Live Performance. She pursued her career in acting while she worked at AFDA as an administrative assistant and has appeared in a number of Mzansi Magic short films and TV soaps. One of her short films of which she was the lead then won a SAFTA in 2019 for Best Movie Made for Television. She then joined the Production Course department which inspired her to delve into the research of identity which has been her focus for the last year.
