The AFDA Cape Town 2019 graduation film, “In Sight”, directed by Ying Zhang and produced by Yolisa Letshwene has been selected as a finalist at the International Student Creative Award 2020 in Japan in the International Video Content category.  Five other films from around the world have also been selected as finalist from a pool of over 900 student films.

Yolisa will be representing the film during the interview process on the 11th of November with the other nominees where she will each undergo a 30-min interview with the judges on the film and its conception. The award ceremony will be held on the 4th to the 5th of December.

“In Sight” was also recently nominated as a semi-finalist at The International TV Broadcasters and Independent Producers Festival SIMFEST that was hosted online on September 14th.

The ISCA is an international arts and information media competition for university, graduate school, and vocational school students. All entries are carefully nominated and selected by prominent professional judges in order to keep the quality of works at a level suitable to the award overall.

The aim of the festival is to generate new value and nurture new talent through ISCA, which has attracted widespread interest in Japan and throughout the world.
