It look like 2020 is going to be a brilliant year for AFDA films. The 2019 third year experimental film, “Mum, I Need Oil for my Car”, directed by Naishe Nyamubaya, has already been selected to screen in competition at three international film festivals.

The film will screen at the British Film Institute, Future Film Festival in the United Kingdom, at the African Narrative Film Competition, where it has been nominated as a semi-finalist and at the Watersprite International Film Festival where sound designer and music composer of the film, Bongani Mashaba, has been nominated for the Best Music Award.

The 2017, third year graduation animation film, “Lullaby from the Crypt”, directed by Raven Davids and Keenan Lott, heads north to screen in competition at the  13th Cairo International Forum for Animated Films, which will take place from  27 February to 5 March 2020.

Congratulations to the cast and crew!
