What an amazing 2019 it has been for AFDA alumnus film director, producer and editor Cohen Lorenzo Davids. In the past year his films have received several awards both locally and abroad.

At the London Fashion Film Festival 2019 his film ‘Interconnect’ won the Best Cinematography Award.

At the Bokeh South African Fashion Film Festival both his fashion films were selected as feature films, and most recently at the 1minutefilmfestival 2019 awards, his films, ‘Connect’, received the Best Fashion Film Award and ‘Interconnect’’, received the Best Film and Achievement in Creativity Awards. “I am still speechless. Thank you 1minutefilmfestival for the platform you've created for young emerging filmmakers.” says Cohen.

Cohen has also been nominated at the 15th Africa Film Academy Awards for Best Achievement in Editing for his work on the feature film “The Last Victim”. The awards will be held on the 27th of October 2019 in Lagos, Nigeria.

This is an amazing achievement, well done Cohen. This is what working hard at your passion brings.
