AFDA is delighted to announce that three AFDA 2018 graduation films have been selected to screen at the Knysna Film Festival. The films include “Simply Ben”, directed by Warrick Bews, “Orgasm”, directed by Gueorgui Haralampiev and “Beyond Repair”, directed by Chadlee Skrikker.

The Knysna Film Festival aims to give filmmakers an opportunity to engage audiences about their films.. As an emerging film industry area, the Garden Route has incentives and ease of permitting to promote the region as a new destination for film. The film festival is a first major step in promoting local and international filmmakers and the region.

The venues are hosted in Thesen Harbour Town and in the Knysna Waterfront to encourage not only industry players, but also local and international visitors to watch your films. Knysna has a diversity of activities in the local surrounds and Knysna Tourism will be doing Fam Tours for industry whilst they are in attendance.

The festival will also see the launch of our ‘Intimater’ project to maximize exposure for your film and our ‘Match’ program to encourage education in film. Events, social networking opportunities, workshops and discussion panels all centered around your films.

The festival runs from the 29 October - 2 November 2019. The final night will be the Awards gala event.
