ABOUT BUSINESS LEADERSHIP MAJOR

In this discipline students will be exposed to core theories of leadership and will investigate the role of leadership in society, organisations large and small, mature and start-up enterprises, with the focus being on leadership in the business context. Students will be encouraged to explore and experiment with different styles of leadership throughout the discipline, using their project teams and the challenges they will face working with their peers as practice in handling scenarios they will likely face as leaders later in their business careers and lives. This discipline will help the student develop not only an understanding of leadership styles and approaches.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

YEAR 1: DISCOVERY

1st Year is about identifying a dissipating value in an existing product and develop a business concept around monetising it. 

YEAR 2 TRAINING

Year 2 is about online streaming platforms and monetizing immersive experiences using Virtual Reality in entertainment events.

YEAR 3 EXPERT/ENTREPRENEUR

3rd Year involves integration with all schools at AFDA around the Experimental and Graduation Festival events & identifying value opportunities for capitalising on the value of the products leading up to & for the festival event.
